Position Summary:

Reporting to the National VP of APS Sales, the Senior Director – CAD Multispecialty / Acute will:

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for pharmaceutical partners.

  • Manage a large, cross-specialty book of business.

  • Collaborate with internal data and sales teams, and Corporate Account Directors (CADs) to align on client strategy across therapeutic areas.

  • Engage with executives, develop strategic programming, and maintain high-level pharmaceutical partner relationships.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain pharmaceutical client relationships across therapeutic areas.

  • Present and propose business development initiatives to senior executives.

  • Strategize growth and program alignment with pharma clients.

  • Facilitate GPO operations, coordinate meeting agendas, and guide internal teams.

  • Lead data analysis initiatives for client-specific strategy development.

  • Communicate meeting objectives and align all internal departments accordingly.

  • Ensure full compliance with PhRMA Code and FDA regulations.

  • Represent Cencora in key internal and external meetings (travel required ~35%).


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Pharmacy Science, or similar required; MBA or graduate-level preferred.

  • 10+ years in consulting, strategic sales, or pharmaceutical business development.

  • Deep familiarity with matrixed healthcare environments and GPO contracts.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong strategic and consultative sales background.

  • Effective written and verbal communicator with executive-level presence.

  • Demonstrated analytical and industry trend interpretation capabilities.

  • Knowledge of 340B program, health system purchasing, and pharma marketplace.

  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • High adaptability and organizational skills with experience managing diverse portfolios.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent use of computers.

  • Must be able to travel for client and internal meetings (~35%).

  • Must handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.

Salary Range:
$152,500 – $235,180 (subject to regional variation)
