Job Details
The Senior Contracts Specialist role manages contract review, administration, and customer communication aligned with company policies, legal/compliance standards, and customer requirements. You will ensure contract accuracy and consistency by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include tracking/reporting contract status and maintaining system data integrity. Training stakeholders on contract requirements is also key.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review, prepare, and evaluate agreements before signature to ensure accuracy and manage performance requirements, delivery, timelines, costs, and payment terms to minimize company risk

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and other experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly

  • Identify need for legal review and engage Corporate Counsel or Vice President as necessary; assist with priority management and customer expectations

  • Support Senior Manager, Contracts with complex contract issues

  • Develop and deliver contract training for new hires and stakeholders

  • Address business inquiries regarding contracts, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and status

  • Manage contract software reporting and maintain contract language libraries and special terms

  • Perform daily system maintenance and troubleshooting for contract tracking accuracy

  • Manage contractual documents across business platforms and oversee the contract administration email inbox

  • Lead weekly contract status meetings with business leaders

  • Maintain contract templating documents and master data repository

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification in legal, business administration, contract management, or related field

  • 5 to 7 years direct contracting experience or law firm background; healthcare consulting preferred

  • Strong understanding of legal/contractual terms and conditions

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Skilled in analyzing and drafting contract language, attention to detail with impeccable proofreading

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills related to contracts

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Risk evaluation and prioritization expertise

  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, SharePoint; experience with iCertis preferred

  • Ability to recommend and implement efficiency improvements

Salary Range: $72,200 - $103,290 (National Average; varies by location)
