Job Overview:

As a Senior Clinical Director for Neuromodulation, Pain Therapies at Medtronic, you will play a critical leadership role in directing global clinical research activities and programs. Your work will focus on generating clinical evidence for pain therapies, with the aim of improving outcomes, gaining regulatory approvals, and supporting product lifecycle management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Research Leadership: Direct clinical studies and evidence development for pre-market and post-market trials within the pain therapy domain.

  • Stakeholder Management: Define key stakeholder needs, ensuring clinical evidence aligns with customer, regulatory, and payer requirements.

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead evidence generation activities, including clinical trial design, database analysis, and translating clinical data into marketing strategies.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure studies meet scientific, regulatory, and ethical guidelines, with a focus on product safety and efficacy.

  • Global Regulatory Strategy: Implement strategies to obtain global product approvals from regulatory bodies.

  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team to achieve business objectives. Provide performance reviews and foster a culture of accountability.


Leadership and Functional Career Stream:

  • Autonomy: Operate independently with general supervision on major initiatives.

  • Organizational Impact: Lead corporate strategy for clinical research in pain therapy, with accountability for achieving goals.

  • Innovation: Champion innovation in clinical trials, offering new approaches to challenges.

  • Communication and Influence: Establish strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Influence across functions and businesses.

  • People Leadership: Manage a diverse team, set goals, and oversee talent development and retention.


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of clinical experience (13+ years with an advanced degree), with 10+ years in managerial roles.

  • Prior Medical Device Experience.

  • Proven ability to influence across functions and businesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master of Science, Ph.D., PharmD).

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams and driving business growth.

  • Salary Range: $256,000.00 - $384,000.00 USD annually, plus Medtronic Incentive Plan and long-term incentives.
