Senior Analyst – SDS Authoring

Overview

As a Senior Analyst – SDS Authoring, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace chemical safety across diverse product portfolios. This role provides exposure to international chemical management standards, regulatory frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Author, revise, and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for various portfolios using NPI workflows and mailbox requests.

  • Ensure full compliance with GHS (Globally Harmonized System), CLP, and other international chemical safety regulations.

  • Manage complex chemical inquiries and provide comprehensive substance information for workplace chemical management.

  • Maintain data integrity and ensure timely updates across all platforms.

  • Utilize SAP EHS module for regulatory data management and classification support.

  • Apply quality management principles (ISO 9001:2015) in SDS authoring processes and participate in audit activities.

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for regulatory compliance and support process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in training team members on SDS authoring processes.

  • Execute Excel-based data management tasks, including basic formulas, document formatting, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemistry.

  • 4–6 years of experience in SDS authoring, chemical regulatory compliance, or related fields.

  • In-depth knowledge of GHS and CLP regulations.

  • Experience with SAP EHS module.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • UNITAR certification in classification and labeling of chemical products.
