Team Overview
The Protein Biology team is involved in large-scale functional validation of antibodies, with a focus on reagent quality and specificity. The team uses advanced tools such as Western blotting, immuno-fluorescence imaging, immunohistochemistry, and gene-silencing to provide advanced application tags to the antibody portfolio.
Role Summary
As a Scientist I, Protein Biology, you will contribute to antibody validation workflows, ensuring reproducibility and product differentiation. You will design and execute experiments, communicate results, and stay up-to-date with scientific advancements in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute experiments for antibody validation and characterization.
Conduct protein assays and work with protein-protein interactions (e.g., co-immunoprecipitation) and immunoassays (e.g., Western blotting, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, ELISA).
Keep detailed records in data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
Stay current with literature in antibody validation.
Compile and present data in both written and oral formats.
Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with peers.
Adhere to experimental schedules and program goals.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
Masters’ degree with 2-5 years of experience or a PhD in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.
Skills
Proficiency in protein biology, immunoassays, and cell/molecular biology.
Experience in designing protein assays and working with immunoassays.
Knowledge of computational biology tools and programming languages.
Ability to communicate research data effectively and provide expert-level troubleshooting.
