Team Overview

The Protein Biology team is involved in large-scale functional validation of antibodies, with a focus on reagent quality and specificity. The team uses advanced tools such as Western blotting, immuno-fluorescence imaging, immunohistochemistry, and gene-silencing to provide advanced application tags to the antibody portfolio.


Role Summary

As a Scientist I, Protein Biology, you will contribute to antibody validation workflows, ensuring reproducibility and product differentiation. You will design and execute experiments, communicate results, and stay up-to-date with scientific advancements in the field.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments for antibody validation and characterization.

  • Conduct protein assays and work with protein-protein interactions (e.g., co-immunoprecipitation) and immunoassays (e.g., Western blotting, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, ELISA).

  • Keep detailed records in data sheets and laboratory notebooks.

  • Stay current with literature in antibody validation.

  • Compile and present data in both written and oral formats.

  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with peers.

  • Adhere to experimental schedules and program goals.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Masters’ degree with 2-5 years of experience or a PhD in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.

Skills

  • Proficiency in protein biology, immunoassays, and cell/molecular biology.

  • Experience in designing protein assays and working with immunoassays.

  • Knowledge of computational biology tools and programming languages.

  • Ability to communicate research data effectively and provide expert-level troubleshooting.
