Team Overview
The Antibody Team specializes in antibody engineering and development, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity. The team is involved in designing, developing, purifying, conjugating, and testing antibodies for immunoassay applications, aiming to create product-specific information for research use.


Role & Responsibilities
As a Scientist II, Protein Biology, you will be part of the molecular biology and sequencing core facility, contributing to the advancement of innovative techniques enabling high throughput recombinant antibody platforms.

  • Lead and contribute to antibody development and testing in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop next-generation methodologies, vector improvements, and cloning strategies for high throughput workflows in recombinant antibody development platforms.

  • Provide informal leadership and supervision of a team of scientists, mentoring and training junior staff in research, experimental execution, and data presentation.

  • Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and develop successful protocols for transfer to operation teams.

  • Drive innovation and foster cross-team collaborations.

  • Partner with supporting functions such as product management, program management, and business development to meet program goals.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Ph.D. with up to 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree with up to 8 years of experience in a relevant life sciences field, focusing on molecular biology, sequencing, and antibody development technologies.

Nature of Experience

  • Extensive experience with antibody development, including hybridoma, display technologies, and single B cell methods.

  • Broad knowledge of molecular biology, vector design, cloning, sequencing technologies (Sanger, next-generation sequencing), and antibody design/engineering.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving technical challenges.

  • Experience in high throughput methods and automation is desirable.

  • Prior experience in establishing new protocols and workflows.

  • Experience in leading core molecular biology or sequencing facilities is a plus.

  • Authorship of peer-reviewed publications and post-doctoral experience preferred.

  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced research environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and statistical software like Prism.
