Salary:
Estimated Range: ₹40 – ₹55 LPA

Position Overview:
As a Medical Lead, you will shape and execute medical affairs strategies in alignment with global directives, local insights, and market dynamics within a specified Therapy Area. This strategic and scientific role involves collaborating across functions, engaging with key external stakeholders, and guiding clinical and educational initiatives to advance Novartis’ mission of reimagining medicine.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global direction and local market conditions.

  • Coordinate and execute scientific events, including CMEs, symposia, and congresses.

  • Respond to medical inquiries ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

  • Contribute medical and scientific expertise to clinical trial design, site engagement, and investigator-initiated trials.

  • Manage and review medical and promotional materials to ensure local adaptation and compliance.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Market Access, QA, and Commercial.

  • Collect and deliver medical insights that inform brand strategy and clinical development.

  • Identify, assess, and manage risk and ensure internal controls and governance.


Minimum Requirements:

  • MBBS and MD (mandatory)

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Research

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience in Clinical Trial Design, NIS/Epidemiology, and Scientific Engagement

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Prior experience in Ophthalmology and/or Immunology is a plus
