Position Overview:
As a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), you will lead scientific engagement with Medical Experts and stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. You’ll bring deep therapeutic knowledge, communicate evidence-based insights, and drive clinical, medical, and educational strategy to improve patient outcomes and shape treatment practices in alignment with Novartis’ mission.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic scientific partner, bringing key insights to help shape medical strategy, launch excellence, and integrated evidence generation plans.

  • Identify data gaps, support real-world evidence (RWE) and precision medicine opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with external stakeholders beyond just healthcare professionals.

  • Leverage digital channels and multiple communication platforms for tailored engagement and scientific education.

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to unsolicited medical queries on marketed and pipeline products.

  • Collaborate on Managed Access Programs (MAPs) where applicable, and support clinical trial recruitment and awareness.

  • Coordinate high-impact scientific events, workshops, and congresses.

  • Adhere strictly to Ethics and Compliance (P3) policies and all regulatory frameworks.

  • Maintain internal CRM systems, compliance records, and contribute to cross-functional collaboration across Value/Market Access, HEOR, and Clinical Research.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in health/life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD preferred)

  • 2–3 years of experience in a Medical function in pharma, ideally in a field-based MSL role

  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare system, clinical research, and pharma regulatory guidelines

  • Digital fluency in stakeholder engagement tools, CRM systems, and insight management

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with ability to adapt across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Self-motivated, growth-mindset-driven, and able to work independently in a dynamic field-based environment
