Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scientific Specialist to develop high-quality scientific and medical communication deliverables for global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare clients. The role requires strong scientific writing expertise, therapeutic area knowledge, project management capabilities, and the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and impactful communication materials.
The Scientific Specialist will work closely with medical writers, account teams, clients, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scientifically accurate, strategically aligned, and client-focused communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Content Development
Develop, write, edit, and review a wide range of scientific and medical communication materials.
Translate complex clinical and scientific information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content.
Ensure all deliverables are scientifically accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with client objectives.
Create and maintain high-quality content across multiple therapeutic areas and healthcare disciplines.
Support development of publication and medical education materials for healthcare professionals and scientific audiences.
Scientific Writing & Medical Communications
Develop and review materials including:
Manuscripts
Abstracts
Posters
Scientific Publications
Congress Materials
Medical Education Content
Slide Decks
Advisory Board Materials
Literature Reviews
Clinical Summaries
Scientific Reports
Training Materials
Promotional and Non-Promotional Medical Content
Scientific Research & Data Interpretation
Conduct comprehensive literature searches and scientific research using credible information sources.
Analyze, interpret, and synthesize clinical and scientific data from multiple sources.
Critically evaluate published literature and clinical evidence.
Present scientific findings accurately while maintaining appropriate context and balance.
Stay updated on emerging research, treatment guidelines, and therapeutic advancements.
Therapeutic Area Expertise
Develop and maintain deep scientific knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, disease states, products, and treatment landscapes.
Build expertise in client product portfolios and competitive environments.
Remain current with evolving scientific evidence, healthcare trends, and industry developments.
Apply therapeutic expertise to support strategic communication initiatives.
Project Management & Delivery
Independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Plan, organize, and execute deliverables within agreed timelines and budgets.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, challenges, or scope changes.
Ensure all assigned work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
Communicate project status updates and potential issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
