About the Role

Parexel is hiring an experienced Scientific Specialist – Medical Information professional for its Medical Communication division. This remote opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong scientific and medical writing background who are passionate about evidence-based communication, literature research, medical information services, and stakeholder collaboration within the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry.

Professionals with expertise in scientific content development, medical writing, publication management, and therapeutic area knowledge in Oncology, Immunology, Respiratory, Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism (CRM), or Inflammation are highly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced literature searches using PubMed and other scientific research databases

  • Review, validate, and summarize relevant scientific literature and medical evidence

  • Develop, update, and maintain global Standard Scientific Response Content (gSSRCs) and FAQs as per approved templates and style guidelines

  • Respond to escalated medical information queries from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), patients, caregivers, and internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global internal and external teams

  • Ensure adherence to medical communication best practices, documentation standards, confidentiality, and compliance requirements

  • Manage multiple medical writing and scientific communication assignments within strict timelines

  • Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives

  • Support high-quality scientific publication activities including manuscripts, abstracts, and posters


Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates with any of the following qualifications may apply:

  • PharmD

  • MD

  • PhD

  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related scientific disciplines


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Medical Writing or Medical Information roles

  • Strong scientific background with expertise in medical communication and literature evaluation

  • Excellent medical writing and scientific documentation skills

  • Experience handling scientific publications including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and research summaries

  • Strong understanding of digital tools, medical databases, and IT-enabled medical communication systems

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in remote global teams

  • High attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and compliance standards

  • Strong command over written and spoken English


Preferred Therapeutic Area Experience

Experience in the following therapeutic areas will be considered an added advantage:

  • Oncology
