Job Title: Sales Representative III – Immunoassay (San Diego)
Location: San Diego, CA (Remote with Weekly Travel to Customers)

About the Role:

Mantell Associates is currently working with a top 5 Immunoassay organization in the US to find a highly motivated Sales Representative III for their San Diego team. This role involves working in a remote capacity, but requires the ability to travel to customers in the region on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in Biomarker Sales and a proven track record of developing new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Cold-call prospects to generate leads from external sources.
  • Research and identify potential accounts, delivering qualified opportunities to business developers.
  • Ensure proper follow-up by passing leads to the right team members with necessary details such as calls-to-action, dates, and complete customer profiles.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine effective strategic sales approaches.
  • Maintain and expand the company’s prospect database.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via phone and email to ensure strong relationships.
  • Handle inbound leads, converting unsolicited prospect calls into opportunities for business development.
  • Update and enter new customer data into the company’s database, ensuring accurate and current information.
  • Prepare sales and business development reports to track progress.
  • Participate in periodic sales training and development programs as needed.
  • Represent the company’s brand identity and corporate position professionally in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of Biomarker Sales experience in the San Diego region.
  • University or college degree in marketing, business, medical, or clinical research-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of direct experience in a sales capacity.
  • Proven ability in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, account development, and time management.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations in San Diego weekly.
