Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Reduction and Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives for existing products.

    • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot process issues for efficiency and waste reduction.

  2. New Product Development:

    • Lead the development of new products from concept to commercialization.

    • Design and execute experiments for feasibility and scalability.

  3. People Management, Lab Operations, and Safety:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of scientists and technicians.

    • Ensure safety regulations are met and maintain a safe work environment.

  4. Scale-up, Commissioning, and Plant Support:

    • Lead scale-up activities for new products and ensure smooth transition from lab to full-scale production.

    • Provide technical support to manufacturing and business teams to address production challenges.

  5. Data Entry and Documentation:

    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintain comprehensive documentation.

    • Develop and implement SOPs for data management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Ph.D. or master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in R&D within the fine chemicals industry.

  • Proven experience in product development and process improvement.

  • Leadership and team management experience.

  • Knowledge of scale-up and plant commissioning is highly desirable.


Skills:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis and documentation.
