Safety Associate Specialist – Nairobi, Kenya (English Language)

Job Summary:
IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare data solutions, is hiring a Safety Associate Specialist in Nairobi, Kenya. This role involves reviewing and processing safety data in line with pharmacovigilance regulations and internal guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pharmacovigilance activities according to project requirements

  • Collect and track adverse events (AEs) and endpoint data

  • Interpret and review medical reports for data accuracy

  • Process safety data per GVP, ICH-GCP, SOPs, and local/global regulations

  • Determine case status (initial/update) and ensure timely documentation

  • Code AEs and products using standardized terminology

  • Write narratives and perform literature surveillance tasks

  • Maintain compliance with quality and productivity benchmarks

  • Attend project meetings and report challenges or feedback to management

  • Identify and escalate any data quality concerns to senior team members


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or healthcare-related discipline (required)

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal, C1 level minimum)

  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality data outputs

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Willingness to learn across various Lifecycle Safety services
