About the Job:

Sanofi is seeking a Real-World Evidence (RWE) Scientist for their Business Operations team in Hyderabad. This permanent, full-time role involves supporting the development, coordination, and execution of real-world evidence strategies for drug and enablement projects at a global level. The RWE Scientist will partner with the RWE Strategy Therapeutic Area Lead to ensure the effective and timely delivery of projects with high scientific rigor while adhering to ethical requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Study Design & Execution:

    • Support the design, execution, analysis, and communication of epidemiological/outcomes research studies.
    • Provide leadership and epidemiological expertise to project teams during pharmaceutical development, including discovery, development, and commercialization.
  • Strategic Input:

    • Deliver specialized research to enhance RWE contributions to regulatory submissions.
    • Support end-to-end execution of real-world studies to ensure high-quality, on-time, and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Research Innovation:

    • Develop innovative clinical and epidemiological research designs to support commercialization.
    • Identify and validate external data sources and institutions for collaboration.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Maintain communication and alignment with team members, partners, and stakeholders to ensure visibility of the evidence strategy and study progress.
    • Work seamlessly with stakeholders to find efficient solutions and optimize resources.

About You:

  • Education:

    • Advanced degree in Pharmaco-epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Outcomes, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in real-world evidence generation for the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Knowledge of RWE methodologies and their application in drug development and regulatory approval.
    • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas, with a preference for expertise in transplant, type 1/2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities with a proactive attitude to deliver value to the brand.
    • Ability to adapt and communicate complex scientific content to diverse audiences.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in pharmacoepidemiology, HEOR, RWE study designs, and methodologies.
    • Experience with routinely collected healthcare data such as claims databases, electronic health records, and registries.
    • Strong project management skills and experience managing RWE studies.
  • Languages:

    • Fluent in spoken and written English, with proficiency in French or other European languages a plus.
