Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Research Scientist to join our Chemical Research team. The successful candidate will lead and participate in the development of pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate molecules, ensuring smooth coordination of activities and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active Participation and Leadership:

    • Actively participate in SU/EB meetings and take a lead role in stage gate discussions.
    • Ensure critical points are addressed and decisions are made efficiently during discussions.
  • Planning and Coordination:

    • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day activities within the assigned group to ensure timely task completion.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to align on project goals, share updates, and resolve any inter-departmental issues.
  • Milestone Management:

    • Track project milestones to ensure targets are met within specified timelines.
    • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
  • Technical Engagement:

    • Engage in daily technical discussions within the group, troubleshooting issues and sharing knowledge to drive innovation.
    • Stay updated with the latest regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance in all activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Respond promptly to regulatory deficiencies, providing accurate and timely information to resolve concerns.
    • Ensure all developmental activities comply with regulatory standards.
  • Manufacturing Involvement:

    • Participate in the manufacturing process during development activities to integrate new processes and technologies seamlessly.
  • Technical Presentations:

    • Prepare and deliver project-specific technical presentations in weekly meetings to update stakeholders on progress, challenges, and next steps.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualifications: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of industrial experience, with proven expertise in developing pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate molecules.
  • Strong background in multi-step synthesis and diketene chemistry.
  • Experience with GLP, sample preparation, impurity isolation, and characterization.
  • Knowledge in literature search, route scouting, and process development.
  • Ability to perform MOC, effluent studies, and economization.
  • Skilled in handling complex chemistries and pressure reactions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
