About the Department

The Early Development team focuses on Phase I and IB clinical trials, which serve as the first real-world tests of a compound’s safety, efficacy, and commercial potential. These studies are a crucial bridge between discovery research and late-phase clinical development, setting the foundation for future success.


About the Role

As a Research Technician (Phlebotomist), you will play a key role in supporting Phase I clinical studies by performing both technical and non-technical procedures. Comprehensive training will be provided in essential clinical techniques such as phlebotomy, vital sign measurement, and ECG recording.

Your accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail will directly impact the quality of data collected and the success of clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Procedures

  • Perform routine clinical tasks, including:

    • Automated vital signs measurements

    • Electrocardiograms (ECGs)

    • Blood and urine sample collection

  • Execute technical procedures according to study protocols and safety guidelines.

Participant Interaction

  • Regularly engage with study subjects in both in-house and outpatient settings.

  • Ensure participants’ comfort and safety throughout study-related procedures.

Non-Technical Procedures

  • Conduct subject walks and safety monitoring.

  • Support general study operations as assigned.

General Support

  • Adhere to clinical protocols and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other clinical staff.

  • Perform additional duties as required.


Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Relevant formal academic or vocational qualification preferred.

Experience

  • 0–1 year of related experience in a clinical, healthcare, or laboratory setting.

  • Training or ability to be trained in Phase I clinical procedures.

  • Active Phlebotomy License required.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in (or willingness to be trained in) all Phase I technical procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with participants and staff.

  • Team-oriented mindset with ability to work collaboratively.

  • Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
