Job Summary

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Research Director in Pharmacokinetics to lead and oversee Phase I-IV clinical pharmacology studies. This role involves designing protocols, performing PK/PD analyses, preparing regulatory dossiers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful drug development. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in pharmacokinetics, population PK/PD modeling, and regulatory strategy to deliver high-quality outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee protocols, statistical analysis plans, and PK/PD analyses for Phase I-IV clinical pharmacology studies (e.g., dose tolerance, bioavailability, drug-drug interactions, special population studies).

  • Prepare PK/PD sections for global regulatory dossiers and liaise with regulatory authorities.

  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of PK/PD deliverables to clients.

  • Act as a consultant to clients and internal teams on clinical pharmacology and development strategies.

  • Collaborate with project managers, biostatisticians, data managers, programmers, and medical writers.

  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior staff and team members.

  • Participate in proposal development, budgeting, and business growth initiatives.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends, new technologies, and best practices in pharmacokinetics and drug development.

  • Assist in implementing quality control procedures and scientific review processes.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ph.D., PharmD, or Master’s degree in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of experience in clinical pharmacology, PK/PD analysis, or related pharma roles.

  • Strong knowledge of non-compartmental analysis, population PK modeling, and drug development processes.

  • Familiarity with ICH GCP, global regulatory requirements, and clinical research standards.

  • Proficiency in WinNonlin, SigmaPlot, NONMEM, S-Plus, and SAS programming.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural team environments.
