Research Director – Pharmacokinetics

Job Summary

IQVIA is hiring a Research Director – Pharmacokinetics to lead Phase I–IV clinical pharmacology studies, encompassing PK/PD strategy, regulatory submissions, and global client consulting. This senior scientific position requires deep expertise in noncompartmental and population PK analysis, bioavailability, drug-drug interactions, and dossier development. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to business proposals, and collaborate cross-functionally on high-impact global projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee protocols, SAPs, and analysis plans for PK/PD studies (dose tolerance, bioavailability, QTc, DDI, special population, etc.)

  • Prepare regulatory dossier content for global submissions

  • Deliver high-quality project outputs within specified timelines

  • Act as scientific consultant to clients and internal cross-functional teams

  • Lead and mentor junior pharmacokinetics scientists

  • Contribute to proposals, budgets, and scientific review processes

  • Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives

  • Maintain expertise through literature review and industry engagement

  • Provide PK/PD guidance in study design and strategic implementation


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ph.D., Pharm.D., or Master’s in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, or related field

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in PK/PD and clinical pharmacology

  • Expertise in noncompartmental and population PK modeling

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and global regulatory standards

  • Advanced skills in tools like WinNonlin, NONMEM, SigmaPlot, SPlus, and SAS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage complex PK/PD components independently

  • Proven mentorship and scientific leadership capabilities

  • Cross-functional collaboration skills in global matrix teams
