Research Associate – HEOR (Remote, India) | Norstella
Job Summary:
Norstella is hiring a Remote Research Associate to join its HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) Real-World Data (RWD) team. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity for professionals with 2 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare consulting/research sectors. The ideal candidate will support US-based HEOR leaders on global observational research studies and help deliver critical insights into the drug development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct targeted literature reviews using PubMed and other public data sources.
Summarize disease prevalence/incidence and treatment landscapes from published literature.
Identify diagnosis (ICD-10), procedure (CPT/HCPCS), and drug (NDC) codes as required.
Prepare structured tables and figures in MS Excel as per study protocols (no programming needed).
Assist in defining study cohorts, outcomes, and patient populations for HEOR/RWE studies.
Attend daily web-based teleconferences with US and India teams.
Ensure high-quality, accurate execution of research tasks with minimal oversight.
Potential for increased responsibilities based on performance and experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, pharmacy, or science-related field (preferred: Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Pharmacy).
Experience: 2–5 years in pharma, biotech, or healthcare consulting/research firms.
Prior experience with US-based or global HEOR teams desirable.
Familiarity with real-world data (RWD), such as US healthcare claims or EMR data, is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Proficient in MS Excel; data handling experience beneficial.
Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones (Eastern US and IST).
