Role Overview: Research Associate II

Location: Flexible workplace policy (minimum 3 days onsite weekly)
Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually (based on skills, experience, and location)

As a Research Associate II, your contributions in analytical testing and R&D will directly enhance patient outcomes globally. You’ll work on stability testing, product development, and sustainability initiatives while ensuring the safety and innovation of Baxter’s groundbreaking healthcare solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical chemical and physical analyses on stability samples, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Act as a study director, supervisor for testing exceptions, and laboratory investigator for specific projects.
  • Conduct advanced chemical assays using sophisticated instrumentation like HPLC/UPLC.
  • Lead initiatives, train team members, and influence cross-functional teams to achieve critical deliverables.
  • Maintain data integrity, laboratory safety, and adherence to GMP, cGxP, and QSR regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences).
  • Experience: At least 2+ years in analytical chemistry or GMP-regulated labs.
  • Hands-on expertise with HPLC/UPLC, Empower, and electronic lab notebooks.
  • Proficiency in stability studies, method validation, and problem-solving technical issues.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Physical & Workplace Requirements:

  • Ability to perform laboratory testing, lift up to 10 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
  • Must not be allergic to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, or related materials.
