Job Description

Role Overview

The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) is responsible for providing scientific and medical support in a non-sales capacity, maintaining significant customer interactions in the field. The RMA contributes to clinical studies, medical projects, and therapy shaping while ensuring compliance with local and global regulations. This role does not involve the management of clinical trials but focuses on scientific engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

The RMA reports to the Senior Manager RMA / Head RMA and collaborates closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial Teams, and Clinical Research Managers.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Medical Engagement

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with KOLs and academic centers, providing scientific/medical support.
  • Ideate, design, and deliver innovative, high-science engagement programs for physicians to drive therapy shaping.
  • Provide unbiased, high-quality scientific presentations to physicians, both individually and in groups.
  • Ensure all activities comply with local/global laws, regulations, guidelines, and company policies.

Clinical Research & Medical Projects

  • Support and oversee assigned clinical studies and post-marketing research activities (e.g., registry/database projects, epidemiological surveys, IIS projects).
  • Participate in the selection of qualified physicians for research collaborations, advisory boards, and scientific events.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, ethical guidelines, and industry standards in all medical activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Research Managers, Medical Advisors, and Pharmacovigilance teams.
  • Support the Marketing and Sales teams by providing scientific expertise without promotional influence.
  • Engage with healthcare personnel, research investigators, and medical societies to strengthen scientific partnerships.
