Job Description: Regional Medical Affairs Manager

Designation: Regional Manager – Medical Affairs
Reporting To: Associate Director, SMA
Region: North & West India
Location: West or North India


Minimum Qualification & Experience

  • MD/MBBS/MDS/BDS degree.

  • 3–5 years of experience in a regional medical affairs or medico-marketing role with a pharmaceutical/nutrition company.

  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering scientific presentations for internal teams and external healthcare professionals (HCPs).


Key Responsibilities

1. Scientific Engagement & Communication

  • Lead and own all scientific activities within assigned regions.

  • Actively participate in scientific programs as a speaker, delivering lectures/presentations to HCPs and other audiences.

  • Conduct HCP E-engagement platforms as mandated by the division head.

  • Ensure unbiased exchange of scientific information between the company and the medical community.

2. Field & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Work alongside regional sales teams during field visits (face-to-face or virtual calls with HCPs, as per company policy).

  • Build and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • Identify, segment, and develop KOLs based on specialty, expertise, and academic interest.

3. Medical Information & Training

  • Provide Medical Information Services (MIS), including support to the sales force with updated medical research, standard-of-care recommendations, and query resolution.

  • Continuously enhance product/medical knowledge of field force.

  • Support onboarding and training of new recruits in coordination with the training team.

4. Competitive & Strategic Insights

  • Communicate ongoing scientific and competitive intelligence from the region to the medical affairs team/medical director.

  • Support marketing and sales teams with objection handling and scientific responses to competitor activities.

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, internal guidelines, country regulations, and local industry codes of practice.

  • Maintain ethical and compliant standards in both medical and promotional activities.

  • Adapt to evolving organizational requirements as defined by the division head.
