Role Overview
The R&D Transversal Capabilities Group Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple cross-functional capabilities within the R&D ecosystem. Based at the Sanofi Global Hub in Hyderabad, this role focuses on managing large teams, optimizing processes, and enabling seamless collaboration across global R&D operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage transversal capabilities including dashboarding, reporting, change management, workforce engagement, and system access governance
Oversee non-asset project management and end-to-end service provider coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for transversal capabilities across global and hub stakeholders
Collaborate with Global R&D Operations and internal departments to identify operational needs and deliver scalable solutions
Drive resource planning, budget allocation, and workforce optimization for large teams (50+ members)
Ensure timely delivery of projects with high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance
Implement change management strategies aligned with organizational frameworks
Foster innovation by identifying process improvement opportunities and deploying new tools and methodologies
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across global and regional teams
Mentor team members, encourage high performance, and support professional development
Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure business continuity planning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree (BSc, MBA, PhD) in Life Sciences, Business, or related fields
10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D operations, project management, or cross-functional leadership roles
Proven experience managing large, multi-layered teams in a global environment
Strong expertise in stakeholder management, change management, and strategic planning
Proficiency in MS Office tools, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and project management platforms
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
