Position Summary:

The R&D Specialist at Baxter’s ITT, Bangalore site will be responsible for managing R&D operations including Capex, Opex, procurement, logistics, finance, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility for R&D initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Budget & Expense Management:

  • Manage and track R&D Capex, Opex, and project-related purchases.

  • Maintain R&D budgets and ensure accurate reporting, planning, and auditing.

  • Prepare dashboards and detailed reports for expense tracking.

Procurement & Logistics:

  • Handle material/equipment storage and ensure readiness for deployment.

  • Coordinate closely with procurement for vendor selection, POs, shipment tracking, and timely payments.

  • Manage import/export documentation and compliance in collaboration with logistics and finance teams.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Support vendor development, including drafting and managing disclosure agreements.

  • Partner with engineering teams to understand project requirements.

  • Interact with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with R&D goals.

Compliance & Process Oversight:

  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documentation is up-to-date and compliant.

  • Oversee documentation and adherence to company policies and regulatory frameworks.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Commerce.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 4 years in procurement, logistics, or R&D budget management.

  • Experience in large-scale R&D organizations managing development procurement and budgeting activities.

  • Strong understanding of financial operations, procurement, and material management.

  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Coupa, and advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Hands-on experience with vendor negotiations, resolving invoice discrepancies, and initiating product returns.
