Position Overview:
The Quality-Medical Affairs Professional (Q-MAP) is a key role within Lilly’s Medical Affairs team, focusing on ensuring the highest standards of medical quality, accuracy, and compliance for promotional and non-promotional content. The Q-MAP will contribute to the development, review, and approval of medical materials and work closely with brand teams, medical affairs business units, and cross-functional teams to ensure that scientific, clinical, and regulatory content meets the necessary standards and supports both internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Team Support:

    • Serve as a primary medical point of contact for the brand team.
    • Contribute clinical and scientific expertise to support the development of local brand plans and medical strategies.
    • Provide scientific input to create and/or review promotional and non-promotional materials (local, regional, and global).
    • Effectively communicate and transfer knowledge regarding therapeutic solutions, clinical landscapes, and relevant scientific information.
    • Support the medical training needs of internal business partners.
  • Scientific Expertise and Medical Affairs Delivery:

    • Support data analysis and the creation of slide sets and publications (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
    • Collaborate with other medical affairs roles (e.g., Clinical Research Physicians, Clinical Research Scientists, Medical Science Liaisons) to deliver seamless medical team support and exceptional customer experiences.
    • Contribute to the development and/or review of global and regional promotional and non-promotional materials.
    • Support Scientific Data Disclosure (SDD) plans.
    • Critically read and evaluate relevant medical literature to stay current in the therapeutic area.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on medical and scientific developments related to the product or therapeutic portfolio.
    • Stay informed on trends and projections in clinical practice and access.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, etc.) in health sciences with at least 2 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience, or
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (MBBS, BDS, PharmD, MSc Nursing, etc.) in health sciences with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Relevant experience in the scientific industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, meaningful, and compliant content for customer communications.
  • Proven experience in customer interface and engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functions, including Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and Payer teams.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence upward.
  • High capacity for managing and prioritizing a complex workload.
