Job Summary
Fortrea, a leading global contract research organization (CRO), is seeking a dedicated Research Nurse for overnight clinical trial operations at our Dallas Phase I unit. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with early-phase participants and play a critical role in the safety and data accuracy of investigational drug trials. Ideal for early-career nurses, this position combines hands-on patient care with clinical research exposure in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to participants in Phase I clinical trials.
Monitor participant well-being and respond to medical emergencies.
Obtain informed consent and educate subjects on study protocols.
Administer investigational compounds per protocol standards.
Perform and document telemetry, cannulation, ECGs, venipuncture, and vital signs.
Collect and process biological samples and maintain accurate source data.
Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) with active state licensure (TX).
0–1 years of nursing experience (clinical or research-based).
EMT, CMA, CNA, or Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, protocol-driven environments.
Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
Familiarity with technology-based data collection is a plus.
