POSITION SUMMARY

Novo Nordisk is looking for a Publication Project Manager to join the Global Medical Affairs team in Bangalore, India. The role involves managing global publication plans, budgets, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including medical affairs colleagues, medical writing teams, affiliate offices, and external healthcare professionals (HCPs). The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and experience in publication development.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Publication Plans: Oversee and execute global publication strategies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Congress Publication Management: Handle logistics for congress publications and manage their submission and presentation.
  • Tracking of Manuscripts: Regularly track the progress of manuscripts and other scientific publications.
  • IEnvision Management: Utilize IEnvision software for the management and tracking of publications and related documents.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including medical affairs, writing teams, and affiliate offices, as well as external HCPs, to ensure seamless execution of publication activities.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage publication-related budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with publication goals and timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
    • PhD, Master of Science, Bachelor's degree in a life science field or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years of Project Management experience.
    • Experience in publication management and managing publication plans is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work in a global team and manage cross-functional collaborations effectively.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Global Medical Affairs (GMA GBS) department is based in Bangalore, India and serves as an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit located at Novo Nordisk headquarters in Denmark and Zurich. The team consists of highly motivated medical advisors, project managers, and publication managers working together to support global medical and scientific initiatives. One of the sub-units within GMA GBS is the Rare Disease Medical Affairs department, which focuses on scientific communication, publication planning, and medical content development.
