About the Role

As a Trial Vendor Senior Manager, you will be a core member of the Clinical Trial Team (CTT). You will be responsible for independently managing all vendor-related aspects of global clinical trials. Your main goal is to ensure the successful delivery of study outcomes within schedule, budget, quality/compliance, and performance standards. You will proactively address vendor-related risks and issues, implement global vendor strategy, and escalate any critical vendor issues when needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Work closely with study team lead and members throughout the study lifecycle.

  • Protocol Development: Review vendor-related sections during protocol development.

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with the Vendor Startup Manager to develop the Study Specification Worksheet (SSW) and facilitate the bid process.

  • Contract Management: Support contract negotiations, quote/proposal reviews, and contribute to the development of vendor contract amendments.

  • Budget & Cost Control: Manage vendor costs, review budgets, handle invoice reconciliation, and ensure PO close-out.

  • Risk Management: Create and maintain vendor-related risk maps with contingency plans and documentation.

  • Adherence to Standards: Ensure timely, efficient, and quality execution of trials, within budget, and in compliance with Novartis policy, guidelines, and external regulations.

  • Timely Execution: Ensure timely, efficient, and quality execution of trials and trial-related activities.

  • Compliance: Adhere to Novartis policies, guidelines, and external regulations.

  • Budget Control: Maintain budget and cost control across vendor management.


Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of clinical operation processes and vendor management.

  • Strong experience in critical negotiations, collaboration, and operations management.

Skills

  • Budget Management: Handle financial aspects of trials and vendor contracts.

  • Clinical Trials: Expertise in clinical trial management and vendor relationships.

  • Negotiation Skills: Capable of managing vendor contracts and agreements.

  • Project Management: Ability to plan and execute trials with strong project management skills.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve trial processes to increase efficiency.

Languages: English proficiency required.
