About the Role:

The Direct Materials Life Cycle Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and organizing project activities related to direct materials to support and achieve strategic objectives across multiple categories. This role involves managing complex projects, coordinating across global and local functions, and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Lead and plan project activities to align with organizational goals and deliver outcomes.

    • Establish long-term goals, key milestones, and objectives for project success.

    • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation during project activities.

  • Stakeholder & Risk Management:

    • Work with key stakeholders to establish project plans and goals.

    • Collaborate with material implementation leads to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and update strategies as needed.

    • Drive communication and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment and buy-in.

    • Escalate issues according to defined processes and report on progress to management.

    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks.

  • Reporting & Monitoring:

    • Own the project dashboard, ensuring accurate and complete status tracking of all projects and key performance indicators (KPIs).


Essential Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • 8-10+ years in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Extensive experience in Project Management.

    • Experience navigating a complex, rapidly changing business environment.

  • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Understanding of cGxP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.

    • Ability to negotiate, support others, and challenge where necessary.


Desirable Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Degree in Science or Business Administration.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • In-depth understanding of materials procurement (Chemicals/Excipients/Packaging) and site implementation within the pharmaceutical industry.
