The Oncology Targeted Delivery (OTD) Safety team advances expert non-clinical safety science to support innovative oncology therapies.

The Associate Director, Project Toxicologist will contribute to the development of cutting-edge oncology medicines, including:

  • Radio Conjugates

  • Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs)

  • Small Molecules

You will bridge discovery, early development, and regulatory toxicology, ensuring safety strategies that support selection and progression of novel drug candidates.


🔷 Key Accountabilities

Toxicology & Safety Strategy

  • Design regulatory and investigative toxicology studies.

  • Predict, assess, and mitigate target- and modality-related safety risks.

  • Provide safety input for Radio Conjugates, ADCs, and small molecule programs.

  • Apply toxicology expertise to guide decisions in drug discovery & development.

Innovation & Scientific Integration

  • Drive integration of regulatory toxicology with advanced technologies (in vitro, in silico, in vivo).

  • Use modern tools such as organ-on-chip, imaging, and omics for mechanistic insights.

  • Support progression of drug candidates from discovery to clinic and beyond.

Regulatory & Governance Communication

  • Present integrated risk assessments to governance bodies.

  • Contribute to regulatory submissions, including IND-enabling toxicology packages.

  • Maintain expertise in global regulatory requirements and emerging safety science trends.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • Collaborate across Oncology R&D functions globally.

  • Provide non-clinical safety expertise for in-licensing evaluations.

  • Contribute to external collaborations, networks, and scientific publications.


🔷 Essential Skills & Experience

  • PhD and/or DABT in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Oncology, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Project Toxicologist / Investigative Toxicologist in pharma/biotech/CRO.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Drug discovery and development

    • Non-clinical toxicology programs

    • IND-enabling studies

  • Expertise in Oncology, ideally with Radio Conjugates or ADC safety.

  • Experience using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico models for risk prediction.

  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to coordinate across multiple projects.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver toxicology risk assessments.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

  • Comfort working across geographies with an inclusive and diverse mindset.

🔷 Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $134,000 – $201,000 (USD annual).
    Final offer depends on experience, skills, and location.
