About the Role:
Parexel is seeking a highly motivated Project Specialist I to join our global Project Leadership group. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, patient-focused clinical trials and help bring life-changing therapies to market efficiently. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to define project requirements, develop project plans, manage timelines, and monitor budgets.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, thrives under pressure, and is committed to improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Oversight

  • Create, maintain, and update project management plans in coordination with Project Leaders (PL).

  • Manage project system information, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Generate project reports, metrics, and analyses for internal and client review.

  • Review financials, pass-through costs, and time tracking with functional leads.

  • Oversee project resources, access, and team lists, ensuring timely allocation.

Project Initiation & Execution

  • Customize systems and tools to meet SOPs and project needs.

  • Support vendor selection, training curriculum development, and TMF setup.

  • Collaborate with functional leads to ensure project resources align with scope.

  • Monitor study progress, flag issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain consistent, integrated project plans across all functions.

Meetings & Communication

  • Prepare for and attend internal and client meetings.

  • Report on project responsibilities and track action items.

  • Support effective communication between project teams and stakeholders.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Ensure timely delivery of study supplies per contracts.

  • Perform vendor invoice review and financial close-out support.

Project Closure & Mentorship

  • Ensure proper project close-out, documentation, and handover to sponsors.

  • Mentor new team members on systems, processes, and tools if assigned.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outputs.

  • Client-focused approach with flexible attitude toward tasks and learning.

  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changes.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 1+ year in a Project Specialist role or 2+ years in Clinical Research.

  • Familiarity with global clinical trial processes and working across regions.

  • Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.

  • Understanding of project integration, timelines, and deliverables.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for non-native speakers.
