SBO aims to be a strategic partner for functional and tactical delivery across Medical, HEVA, and Commercial teams worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Project Lead – RWE Data Analytics to join our growing Real-World Evidence (RWE) team. This role provides a unique opportunity for a data scientist or epidemiologist to contribute to innovative RWE studies in cardiovascular (CV) disease and diabetes. You will be responsible for leading data-driven projects that generate impactful insights and support evidence generation across Sanofi's global portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

As Project Lead – RWE Data Analytics, you will drive the growth of RWE capabilities for Sanofi’s General Medicines portfolio. Your primary tasks will include:

Project Leadership & Data Analytics

  • Lead RWE Projects: Oversee the conceptualization, design, and execution of RWE analytical projects across therapeutic areas like CV disease and diabetes.
  • Healthcare Data Analysis: Lead analysis using diverse healthcare datasets (e.g., EHR, claims data, RCTs) to generate insights through statistical techniques like data modeling, time-to-event analysis, and other advanced analytics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Medical, Market Access, HEOR, and Commercial teams to deliver actionable insights that maximize the value of Sanofi’s assets.
  • Rapid Response Analyses: Provide timely and accurate analyses to support business needs and decision-making across internal stakeholders.
  • Study Reporting & Dissemination: Lead the drafting of technical reports, study manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and presentations for international conferences.
  • External Collaboration: Represent Sanofi’s RWE team at external meetings, maintaining relationships with academic institutions, governments, and external research partners.

Data Management & Strategy

  • Ensure Data Access & Integrity: Validate and secure access to third-party healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and compliance.
  • Strategic Direction: Contribute to the RWE strategic direction, providing data insights and recommendations that inform key business decisions for the General Medicines portfolio.
  • Project Oversight: Manage project timelines and activity, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

About You

We are seeking an analytical, results-driven professional with expertise in healthcare data analytics and real-world evidence generation. If you have a passion for data science, epidemiology, and impactful research, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to global healthcare.

Experience

  • 7-10 years in the public health, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry with a strong background in healthcare data analysis and RWE studies.
  • Extensive experience analyzing and managing large healthcare datasets (e.g., EHR, claims, RCTs) and applying statistical methods (e.g., time-to-event analysis, data modeling).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, collaborate with global teams, and present complex findings to diverse audiences.

Skills & Competencies

  • Data Science & Analytics Expertise: Strong proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and SAS, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA).
  • Excellent Communication: Ability to convey complex data analyses and results to non-technical stakeholders, including health economists, clinicians, and policy makers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across teams and functions, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering practical, actionable insights.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.

Education
