Manager – Production (Pharmaceutical) – Baddi, India
Job Summary:
Abbott is hiring an experienced Production Manager for its Thyronorm facility in Baddi. The role is ideal for a senior pharmaceutical professional with 17+ years of experience in cGMP-compliant operations, manufacturing equipment procurement, team leadership, and regulatory compliance in a high-volume pharma environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the selection and procurement of manufacturing equipment as per containment strategy.
Lead installation, qualification, and validation of new equipment and production batches.
Oversee QMS team to develop SOPs and other regulatory documentation.
Ensure compliance with cGMP and international standards across manufacturing operations.
Manage recruitment and training of production staff (operators & supervisors) in coordination with HR.
Plan and achieve targeted production volumes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Supervise batch documentation, master records, and SOP reviews.
Control environmental conditions to ensure consistent product quality.
Drive performance management, motivation, and professional development of subordinates.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless production execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
B.Pharm degree mandatory.
Minimum 17 years of pharmaceutical production experience.
Hands-on experience in handling high-containment equipment and batch validation.
Proficient in cGMP, quality management systems, and production QMS documentation.
Strong leadership, people management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and inspection readiness.
