Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking a Product Owner / Senior Consultant to join our Healthcare Consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare systems, including D-SNP, Claims, Enrolment, Encounters, Medicare, Medicaid, PBM, and Provider networks. As a Product Owner, you will guide the development, optimization, and delivery of healthcare consulting products and services, translating client needs into actionable product requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This role offers the opportunity to impact healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes, and work in an innovative, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate product vision, aligning it with client needs, market trends, and organizational goals.
Backlog Management: Develop, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with client requirements and evolving healthcare industry standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with clients, internal teams, and consultants to gather requirements, feedback, and insights for continuous product improvement.
User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Create clear user stories to guide development teams and ensure features meet client expectations.
Sprint Planning: Lead agile sprint planning sessions and ensure development teams understand product goals and deliverables.
Product Releases: Manage product release planning, execution, and post-release evaluation to ensure smooth adoption and client satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring: Track product performance metrics and analyze risks to inform data-driven decisions.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to keep products competitive and innovative.
Qualifications
Education: MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
5+ years in healthcare consulting, product ownership, or related roles in technology-focused environments.
Practical experience in D-SNP, Claims, Enrolment, Encounters, Medicare, Medicaid, PBM, and Provider systems.
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to collaborate in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
