Job Description

Job Summary

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining long-term strategies for oncology products in Dr. Reddy's portfolio. The role involves maximizing market share and profitability through strategic planning, market analysis, and execution of business and marketing strategies.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Competitive Landscape Evaluation:
    Conduct in-depth evaluations of the competitive landscape and identify sources of growth for assigned brands:

    • Define key success factors and requirements for successful brand perception building.

  • Commercial Strategy:
    Define and execute the commercial strategy for oncology products, including market access strategy and plan:

    • Develop marketing materials to support product strategy and execution.

  • Market Research & Access:
    Support countries in generating local market access and conduct market research to evaluate market potential:

    • Execute strategies for market access and overcome potential hurdles.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment:
    Ensure alignment on forecasts, product volume requirements, and launch preparations

    • Make recommendations for product-specific capacity investments.

  • P&L Responsibility:
    Manage the product's Profit & Loss (P&L), including sales and marketing costs, and other investments

    • Ensure profitability and track the financial performance of the products before and after launch.

  • Lifecycle Management & Optimization:
    Define and monitor lifecycle management strategies:

    • Work with development teams on portfolio optimization, rationalization, and overall product performance.

  • Portfolio & Costing Analysis:
    Conduct in-depth costing analysis and improvement strategies to enhance product performance

    • Develop commercial growth strategies and portfolio rationalization plans.


Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification:
    B.Pharm./M.Pharm. and MBA

  • Minimum Experience:
    2-4 years of experience in Brand Management, ideally in the pharmaceutical or oncology sector


Skills & Attributes

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing development projects, including goal setting, resource allocation, and risk management

  • Experience in preparing for product launches, including market analysis, competitor research, and launch strategy development

  • Expertise in lifecycle management, including product planning, pricing, positioning, and promotion

  • Strong understanding of market research and customer insights for strategic decision-making

  • Knowledge of market access strategies and marketing tactics for healthcare providers, payers, and patients
