Job Summary

Dr. Reddy’s is seeking a Product Manager to manage brand growth, develop new product ideas, and lead the marketing strategy for innovative pharmaceutical products. This position requires strong market analysis, creative thinking, and excellent communication skills to drive the successful launch and performance of products that address unmet market needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • New Product Idea Generation: Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gather new product ideas, prioritize them, and prepare business cases. Analyze market and competitor data to guide decision-making and ensure product differentiation.
  • Marketing Planning: Develop product launch materials, plan and coordinate launch meetings, train the sales force, and track the first 12 months of product performance to ensure effective product marketing.
  • Brand Performance Review: Analyze market insights, identify issues, and implement action plans for brand optimization. Conduct market research to adjust product positioning as needed.
  • KOL Engagement: Conduct fieldwork to gather insights from KOLs, provide product updates, and build strong relationships to drive growth and product adoption.
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM): Track product quantities, communicate plans with the SCM team, and ensure timely resolution of product shortages or excess inventory.
  • Regional Sales Collaboration: Meet with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to gather feedback, develop region-specific strategies, and incorporate regional needs into the product plan to improve overall performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Science/Pharma/Medical Graduate (preferably with an MBA in Marketing).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in sales and 1-2 years of experience in marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and ability to analyze market data.
    • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
    • Ability to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the generics market.
    • Problem-solving skills for addressing regulatory challenges and market access issues.

Behavioral Skills

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaboration skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability & Creativity: Adaptable with strong change management and creative thinking skills.
  • Analytical Thinking: Good analytical skills to evaluate marketing data and drive decision-making.
