🧾 Position Summary
The Product Lead Engineer – AI will join the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D IT team to lead the design and implementation of AI and Generative AI solutions for Safety, Regulatory, and Clinical domains. This hybrid role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to translate complex problems into scalable software solutions.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🔧 AI & Software Engineering
Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI and Generative AI solutions for complex business needs.
Apply machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and modern AI frameworks to create high-impact applications.
☁️ Cloud & Automation Integration
Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to enhance product scalability and performance.
Integrate automation technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
📈 Product Development & Roadmapping
Define and maintain technical product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and industry trends.
Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
📊 Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Analyze product metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and feature enhancement.
Ensure products meet scalability, performance, and security standards.
👥 Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Clearly communicate product vision, strategy, and technical decisions to internal teams and leadership.
🧠 Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
💼 Experience & Skills
✅ Required:
2–4 years of hands-on experience in:
AI / Generative AI
Software Development
Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Automation Tools (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++
Deep knowledge of data structures (Stacks, Trees, Graphs, Linked Lists, etc.)
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
🌟 Preferred:
Experience or domain knowledge in the Pharmaceutical Industry, especially in Clinical, Safety, or Regulatory functions
