Position Overview: Product Development Researcher (Materials)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Techniques: Support drug product development by identifying and implementing innovative methods to de-risk product development efforts.
  • Method Development and Validation: Execute analytical method development and validation projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Functional Product Assessment: Analyze products to define quality target product profiles (QTPP), set specifications, and establish material controls.
  • Bioequivalence Support: Assist in drug product bioequivalence studies, including novel strategies to identify critical quality attributes.
  • Risk Management: Apply Quality by Design (QbD) principles, Design of Experiments (DoE), and risk management techniques to optimize product development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build professional relationships across departments and maintain high levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Material Characterisation: Identify innovative methodologies and perform literature research to enhance material characterization and aerosol structural analysis.
  • Vendor Interaction: Lead interactions with raw material vendors to establish and maintain professional partnerships.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Master’s in a related field.
  • Experience: Strong background in materials characterization and/or analytical method development.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of analytical methods for materials characterization.
    • Flexibility to work as part of a project team under tight deadlines.
    • High-level planning and organizational abilities with adaptability to shifting priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MDRS (Morphologically-Directed Raman Spectroscopy).
  • Understanding of global regulatory requirements and experience in regulatory submissions.
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic technical environment.
