What You Will Achieve
As part of Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will contribute significantly to developing and refining process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards. Your expertise in production engineering will be instrumental in recommending and implementing improvements, resolving technical challenges, and optimizing costs and production schedules.

Position Summary
The Senior Process Engineer, as a key member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, leads manufacturing campaigns from production initiation through completion, ensuring technical supervision to meet quality and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards.

This role focuses on collaborating with stakeholders to assess and improve process robustness, transfer analytical methods, and mitigate risks associated with NPI technical transfer projects.

Position Responsibilities

Process Engineering

  • Develop Manufacturing/Operating Instructions and required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot process control system recipes/models.
  • Conduct technical assessments to evaluate processes.
  • Investigate, report, and resolve quality and EHS-related issues observed during manufacturing or batch record review.
  • Develop and implement preventive measures for processing challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor, identify, and implement improvements in processes and equipment.
  • Regularly communicate process updates to plant personnel.
  • Provide process and procedure training to technicians as needed.
  • Manage equipment/GMP systems in production, presenting system compliance to internal and external auditors.

Organizational Relationships

  • Internal: Engineering, Process, Technical Services, Quality Operations
  • External: Subject Matter Experts from sending sites

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Degree in engineering (preferably chemical engineering) or a science degree with a major in chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
