Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Delivery:

    • Effectively train new joiners on medical coding concepts, focusing on Surgery specialty, in accordance with client guidelines.
    • Develop structured and comprehensive training materials tailored to meet client and organizational needs.
    • Conduct sessions on client specifications, coding updates, and industry best practices.
  2. Performance Monitoring:

    • Track trainees' productivity and quality during On-the-Job Training (OJT) periods.
    • Ensure trainees meet glide path and ramp-up targets as defined by the process.
    • Provide one-on-one feedback and guidance for error correction and improvement.
  3. Quality Assurance:

    • Communicate quality requirements effectively to trainees and ensure compliance.
    • Relay QC feedback in a clear and constructive manner.
    • Collaborate with team leads to identify and address areas of improvement for early trainee confirmation.
  4. Continuous Development:

    • Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines and advancements, particularly in Surgery coding.
    • Design innovative training and coaching strategies to enhance trainee engagement and knowledge retention.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs and materials.

Job Specification:

Education and Certification:

  • Any graduate (medical/healthcare-related fields preferred).
  • Must hold relevant coding certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, or AHIMA.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional and relevant experience in medical coding with expertise in Surgery coding.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and coaching within a professional setting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of medical coding principles and Surgery specialty coding.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to analyze trainee performance and implement corrective strategies.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering educational materials.
