Job Description:
ProPharma, the world’s largest Research Consulting Organization (RCO), is seeking a Legal Promotional Review Consultant to oversee the legal aspects of advertising and promotional materials for pharmaceutical, biologic, medical device, and combination products. In this key role, you will lead legal reviews and provide strategic counsel during Promotional Review Committee (PRC) meetings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across a wide array of promotional and non-promotional materials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead legal reviewer during PRC meetings, offering expert guidance on compliance and promotional strategy.

  • Review and approve advertising/promotional materials in compliance with legal policy and FDA/FTC guidelines.

  • Participate in PRC prioritization discussions to ensure timely review and resource planning.

  • Deliver high-quality, strategic input in support of client deliverables and regulatory authority interactions.

  • Ensure all client deliverables are completed on time and within budget.


Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in remote settings.

  • Expertise in interpreting efficacy and safety data, with the ability to apply strategic legal thinking.

  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical promotional review process and regulatory environments.

  • Familiarity with digital promotion, including social media compliance for Rx products.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and review platforms such as Veeva Vault PromoMats.

  • Strong project management capabilities with a record of delivering results under strict timelines.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Medical, Science, Marketing, Business, or Communications).

  • JD or advanced degree highly preferred.


Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

  • Direct experience in regulatory/legal affairs within the industry is required.

  • Experience in healthcare advertising agency settings may be considered.

  • Prior project management experience within the pharma industry preferred.


Salary Estimate:
Estimated range: $60–$100 per hour (based on part-time, expertise level, and industry norms in the U.S.)
