About the Role
Omega Healthcare is hiring a highly skilled Process Coach – Medical Coding to support training, performance improvement and coding quality excellence within the Coding Service Line. The role focuses on coaching new joiners, monitoring productivity, and ensuring compliance with coding standards and client guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and apply all quality and process requirements to meet performance targets.
Deliver effective training sessions for new joiners on medical coding concepts and coding guidelines.
Monitor trainee performance based on OJT glide path and ramp-up targets, ensuring improvement in productivity and accuracy.
Provide structured and continuous feedback on coding quality and process adherence.
Educate team members on client-specific requirements, specifications and updated coding rules.
Conduct one-on-one sessions for repeated errors and support error reduction strategies.
Share productivity and quality insights with Team Leads for performance evaluation.
Communicate QC feedback clearly and guide trainees in implementing necessary corrections.
Support Team Leads in early confirmation decisions for trainees through performance-based inputs.
Job Requirements
3–5 years of professional and relevant experience in Medical Coding, preferably with exposure to E/M specialty.
Strong experience in coaching, training, and skill development within coding processes.
Ability to apply varied training methodologies and coaching strategies.
Mandatory coding certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, AHIMA or equivalent.
Graduation in any discipline.
