Job Overview

Clario is hiring a Principal Clinician – Independent Review (IR/IRev) to support global clinical trials through objective, independent review of psychiatric and neurocognitive assessments. This remote role is critical to ensuring the scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and data quality of CNS-focused studies.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with site raters, clinical operations, and internal stakeholders while maintaining strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and study protocols. This role directly contributes to accelerating the development of innovative, life-changing therapies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Independent Review & Assessment

  • Perform independent evaluations and scoring of site-administered psychiatric and neurocognitive assessments

  • Apply standardized diagnostic and symptom rating scales with consistency and accuracy

Data Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure assessment data complies with GCP, study protocols, and internal SOPs

  • Identify discrepancies, trends, or risks impacting data integrity and escalate appropriately

Training & Calibration

  • Conduct training sessions for site raters on assessment tools and scoring methodologies

  • Participate in calibration and reliability exercises to ensure inter-rater consistency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with clinical operations, project management, and quality teams to support protocol adherence

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on assessment methodologies and data interpretation

Technology & Remote Assessments

  • Utilize remote assessment platforms and electronic data capture systems

  • Submit timely, accurate, and audit-ready assessment data

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Master’s degree or Medical degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related healthcare discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and/or treating psychiatric or neurocognitive disorders

  • Demonstrated experience using standardized psychiatric or neurocognitive assessment tools

  • Prior experience in clinical research, CNS trials, or independent review functions is strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and remote assessment technologies

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical judgment

Certifications

  • Relevant clinical licensure or certifications may be required depending on study protocols
