Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Biostatistician (Non-Clinical Statistician) for its Pune location. The role focuses on applying statistical expertise to pre-clinical development and research activities. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with research and pre-clinical development experts for experimental planning, execution, and analysis.
Design statistically feasible experiments under lab conditions.
Support sample size calculation and applications for animal testing licenses.
Perform randomization and data transfer into statistical software.
Interpret experimental results independently.
Develop and implement statistical analysis plans ensuring project consistency.
Lead virtual cross-functional sub-teams within NCS/SIS of DS&AI.
Ensure accuracy and quality of statistical deliverables.
Address routine and complex statistical tasks autonomously.
Standardize analysis processes for recurring experiments.
Oversee statistical deliverables outsourced to third-party providers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong statistical knowledge in non-clinical/pre-clinical research environments.
Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., SAS, R).
Experience in experimental design and statistical interpretation.
Ability to develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP).
Proven ability to work independently on complex statistical issues.
Leadership in coordinating cross-functional statistical activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
