Job Overview

As Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development at PrimeVigilance, you will spearhead the commercial strategy and business development efforts to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence globally. Reporting directly to the President of PrimeVigilance, you will lead a global team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet ambitious business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy Development: Create and implement strategic plans to drive revenue and market growth, including market segmentation, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
  • Revenue Generation: Lead initiatives for new business development, top-of-funnel lead generation, and customer acquisition across various therapeutic areas and services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations, to enhance market presence and drive growth.
  • Sales Operations: Continuously improve and scale sales processes to optimize revenue and efficiency.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitive intelligence and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Oversee lead generation, pipeline management, and promotional activities in partnership with Global Marketing.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global sales team, focusing on performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments like marketing, operations, regulatory affairs, and finance to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance in all commercial activities.
  • Financial Management: Develop commercial reporting, manage budgets, track key performance metrics, and optimize resource allocation for maximum profitability.

Qualifications

Key Experience

  • Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance or related pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries.
  • Commercial Strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that drive revenue and business growth.
  • Leadership: Significant leadership experience, particularly in managing global sales teams, motivating staff, and achieving growth targets.
  • Team Scaling & Transformation: Expertise in scaling teams, including hiring, training, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of pharmacovigilance software, services, and solutions.
  • Global Experience: Experience managing sales efforts across global or multinational markets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Strong relationship-building skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.
