Job Overview
The Power BI Visualization Programmer will serve as a Clinical Data Transformation Lead, driving the design and implementation of innovative clinical dashboards and data visualization solutions. The role supports Global Development functions including Business Data Management (BDM), Precision Medicine, Clinical Science, Pharmacometrics, and Imaging.
This position plays a critical role in improving clinical data review, cleaning efficiency, operational performance tracking, and regulatory compliance through scalable, high-performance visualization platforms leveraging Scientific Data Lake architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development of advanced clinical dashboards including Clean Patient Trackers, Audit Trail Insights, Data Quality Dashboards, Operational and Site Performance Dashboards, and Medical Monitoring Dashboards
Deliver actionable insights to improve clinical oversight, data cleaning processes, and decision-making across clinical programs
Integrate and transform data from Scientific Data Lake and multiple clinical data sources
Ensure data quality, consistency, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards
Design optimized data models for efficient querying and real-time visualization
Develop reusable Power BI visualization components and maintain a standardized component library
Implement data validation routines and automated quality checks
Optimize SQL queries and performance for large-scale clinical datasets
Apply caching strategies, aggregation techniques, and load testing to ensure dashboard scalability
Support data governance and compliance with GCP, GDPR, HIPAA, and CDISC standards
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (advanced certifications in data analytics or clinical data science preferred)
Minimum 8+ years of experience in clinical data analytics, clinical data management, or data visualization within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards (Tableau experience is an advantage)
Strong programming skills in Python or R
Advanced SQL expertise for data modeling and performance optimization
Deep understanding of clinical trial processes and CDISC standards
Experience working with data lakes, ETL pipelines, data integration frameworks, and analytics automation
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance including ICH-GCP, GDPR, and HIPAA
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
