Position Overview

Lilly is seeking an ambitious Post-Doctoral Scientist in Immunology to join our academic-style post-doctoral program. This role is ideal for freshers who will complete their PhD in Immunology by October/November 2025. The selected candidate will study the function of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in autoimmune disease pathogenesis, while gaining hands-on experience in industry drug discovery.

The role offers the opportunity to design and execute independent research projects, contribute to publications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple Lilly research sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate Treg function across different stages of autoimmune diseases.

  • Design, perform, and analyze in vitro and in vivo experiments to test disease-related hypotheses.

  • Conduct literature reviews to inform experimental design and identify emerging trends in immunology.

  • Present scientific findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including reports, presentations, and publications.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve project goals.

  • Apply advanced immunology knowledge to develop innovative experimental strategies.

  • Independently plan, prioritize, and manage research tasks efficiently.


Basic Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology (to be completed by October/November 2025).

  • Strong foundational knowledge of immune cell biology.

  • Freshers and recent PhD graduates encouraged to apply.


Preferred Skills & Expertise

  • Hands-on experience in cellular immunology, flow cytometry, and mouse in vivo models.

  • Familiarity with Treg biology is advantageous.

  • Strong publication record and scientific communication skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as PRISM, FlowJo, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new techniques while contributing to research publications.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $58,000 – $100,320
