Job Summary:
Alvotech is hiring a skilled Pharmaceutical Sciences (PharmSci) Lead to drive and coordinate comprehensive CMC development activities for global biologics programs in Stockholm, Sweden. This critical leadership role involves crafting and executing PharmSci strategies, overseeing cross-functional development teams, ensuring scientific excellence, and managing regulatory documentation for product submissions and approvals. Ideal for seasoned professionals passionate about biosimilar R&D and innovation in biologics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and represent PharmSci in cross-functional and technical development sub-teams.
Design and drive CMC strategies across Process Development, Analytical Development, MSAT, and related functions.
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of CMC milestones.
Manage PharmSci data to uphold scientific rigor and excellence.
Author and review regulatory documents including CQA, QTPP, IMPDs, briefing books, and MAAs.
Communicate CMC strategies and progress to stakeholders across Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial functions.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate development risks.
Support due diligence and other business development activities.
Drive team dynamics, motivation, and effective cross-functional communication.
Assist in daily operational tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in a relevant scientific discipline.
Minimum 5 years of international experience in pharmaceutical sciences R&D, ideally in biosimilars.
Proven leadership in CMC and PharmSci functions within biological product development.
Expertise in process and/or analytical development for biologics.
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to inspire, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams.
Passionate about scientific problem solving and continuous improvement.
