Job Description:

The Pharmacy Manager at Amazon Pharmacy is a licensed Pharmacist responsible for the oversight and compliance of a small-format pharmacy site. The role involves leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and driving continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational safety, quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations and delivery times.

  • Review and validate prescriptions, suggest therapy changes if needed.

  • Set expectations and evaluate employee performance.

  • Train staff on quality policies and procedures.

  • Implement Lean process improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee licensure and compliance with legal regulations (BOP, DEA, FDA, etc.).

  • Support workforce planning and site growth.

  • Drive employee development, succession planning, and performance management.

  • Use internal pharmacy databases to maintain accurate patient records.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.

  • Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice.

  • Deep knowledge of pharmacy laws and patient safety standards.

  • Experience with performance metrics and Lean process improvements.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexible work schedule (including weekends, nights, holidays).

  • 1 year of Staff Pharmacist experience at Amazon Pharmacy (for internal applicants).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a direct management role in a healthcare, manufacturing, or distribution setting.

  • Full-cycle staffing experience (hiring, promotions, terminations).

  • Ability to adapt to change and manage stress effectively.

  • Proven leadership development skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Willingness to relocate for growth across multiple fulfillment centers.

Compensation:

  • Base Pay: $120,000 – $178,600 per year (dependent on location and experience)

  • May include equity, sign-on bonus, and full benefits
