Role Overview:

As a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate at Accenture, you will be part of our Life Sciences R&D vertical. Your primary role will involve the management of pharmacovigilance tasks, including case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, and submission for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs). You will ensure that all tasks are completed following client guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role involves working within a team to monitor and ensure drug safety, while also managing serious and non-serious case follow-ups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage the identification, data entry, and processing of pharmacovigilance cases in the safety database.
  • MedDRA Coding: Apply MedDRA coding to adverse event data and process safety information as required.
  • Case Follow-ups: Handle follow-up attempts for serious and non-serious cases, ensuring compliance with client-specific guidelines and global regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of cases, submissions, and follow-up actions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team and supervisors to meet project goals and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • BSc or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work under pressure.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
